Chief Operating Officer (permanent) - Sense

‍We are looking for an inspirational and experienced chief operating officer to join us at Sense and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our services.

‍As a critical member of our chief officers’ group, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight across Sense’s operational services, ensuring they are high quality, innovative, inclusive and focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for disabled people with complex needs.

This is a senior leadership role with significant opportunity to make a lasting difference. You will lead our operational transformation agenda, shape the future of our service portfolio and champion co-production, ensuring the voices, experiences and choices of disabled people with complex needs are at the heart of how our services are designed and delivered.

‍You will also act as Sense’s ‘nominated individual for our CQC registration’, providing leadership across our regulatory responsibilities and working closely with regulators, commissioners, funders and strategic partners. The role will be based in Birmingham or London, with frequent travel.

Above all, you’ll share Sense’s commitment to ensuring that disabled people with complex needs are at the heart of our decisions, services and future direction.

Sense is here to break down barriers alongside disabled people with complex needs. That's why we're committed to increasing the number of disabled people working across our organisation and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

‍ We actively encourage disabled people to apply for our vacancies and believe that a diverse range of perspectives, experiences and talents makes us stronger.

‍We know there's always more we can do to become a truly inclusive employer, and we're working together to achieve that. Join us and help create the change thousands of disabled people with complex needs and families told us they want to see: a world without limits. ‍

If you need us to adjust our recruitment process to help you access our vacancies, then please get in touch. We are a Disability Confident Leader and commit to interviewing disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for a role.
